A user registration system has finally been implemented. This will help greatly in managing users and preventing abuse in regards to the leaderboards and other multi-user functions like Word Ferret.
But, more importantly, having a centralised database of users will allow many more user specific enhancements to be implemented in the future, such as personal statistics.
Initially, registration is only required for the daily Sudoku Challenge. This will be extended to multi-user Word Ferret and Sudoku Sniper. Daily challenges for other games will be implemented shortly.
Registration is free and takes less than a minute. Once logged in, your computer will remember you for future sessions.

I love your site, i spend hours every day on it. Just a little suggestion for an improvement: Make a hotkey for the menu options, so that you can make stuff like undo by just clicking 'u' or any other key. It might be a bit hard to add it to every game, but it would be a great improvement.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestion. I have tried to add hotkeys to games that the keyboard can be used. Sudoku (and it's variants) have a few hotkeys including "u" for undo (see help). Other games like Yubotu, Tents and Hitori have a "u" hotkey. But I will look at adding additional hotkeys for Save, Load etc.
ReplyDeleteFor games that are completely mouse based (like Shishen), I have added a dedicated Undo button because it is a very common action.
I'd also like to add my support for your site. I really enjoy the Suduko Challenge, to see how my time compares with others. As someone who likes numbers, I'm looking forward to getting personal statistics. 8-)
