Sudoku statistics are now recorded for all registered users. When you complete a puzzle that is eligible to be scored, the program shows your average score, highest score and your Rank Index. This index is the average of the last 12 scores, excluding the highest and the lowest.
When you load a puzzle, where do you find the rating?
ReplyDeleteThe rating is not available until you complete the puzzle. This is deliberate as I did not want people making a decision whether to do the puzzle or not based on the rating.
ReplyDeleteIs it possible not to have the statistics showing at all when you complete each puzzle, if that's what one wants? It's rather spoiling the enjoyment I get, as I know I'm less than average and don't need it pointed out to me each time.
ReplyDeleteThere are currently two ways to not have statistics show up at all. One is to disable the timer (in Preferences) and the second is to log out before playing. Statistics are only recorded/shown if you are logged in.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see how I have been doing, if I'm getting any better. Are my stats available to me, other than at the end of each game?
ReplyDeleteThis is a great site and the controls are so convenient. I do make errors fairly often though, just from not having the right box highlighted, or using the pen when I thought it was in pencil mode. I liked the suggestion that you don't register the error until the next entry is made. Thanks for making this. I have no clue how you did it, but it seems very well thought out.
I have now changed the error recording to only happen if you make an entry in another cell before correcting the error.
ReplyDeleteStats are only available at the end of the puzzle right now. I am considering adding personal graphs and other features. There may a small subscription fee for this premium content but I have not decided at this stage.
